Today in Church we learned about Judging others. It is a very powerful subject.
My leader showed us a bunch of different pictures of girls:
She then asked, "where do you think they are from?"
here are the answers.....
1. Austrailia
2. India
3. Korea
4. United States
My leader then said, "what physical differences can you see? Eyes, hair color, skin, one has a tatoo(though in the YW book no one had a tatoo....) there clothes, smiles..... a lot of things"
How do we exclude people??
Clay Balls
You may have heard this story but it is one of my favorites:)
There was once a man, who went into a cave and found a big bag of clay balls. He thought how random they were just sitting in here. So he took them with him. As he was walking around on the beach, he took the clay balls one by one and threw them in the water. Then as he grabbed one out of the bag it fell on the floor, cracked open and out popped a bunch of beautiful gems. As he pulled out the balls he cracked them open and each one had amazing jewels insides them. Realizing this, he had thousands of gems, but he could have hundreds of thousands because he threw over 50 into the water.
We can be like this man, and just judge people from the outside and through amazing friends away just because we did not take the time to get to know people. Is this how we want to be?
The next time you are about to judge someone, pretend your talking with god.... would you wisper the things you do now?
